Green Bay Packers Week 10 Injury Report

The Packers sit at 7-2, with one game remaining until their long overdue bye week. With the unbeaten 49’ers looming after the bye, this game against the Carolina Panthers is very important. The Packers are actually relatively healthy compared to what they usually are by week 10.

The Packers have quite a few players listed on Friday’s injury report, but as usual, only a few them are in question of playing. It sounds like TE Robert Tonyan is going to miss yet another game. He has not played since injury his hip at Dallas. This might be the week we see rookie TE Jace Sternberger have a role in the offense.

Surprise addition for the Friday injury report was CB Jaire Alexander. He was listed at all this week until Friday when he was a limited participant. As we all know, Jaire talks a big game, and it is time for him to start living up to that consistently. He shows flashes of brilliance, and then gets beaten like a drum. Hopefully this groin injury is nothing serious. He is questionable for Sunday.

Another key member of the secondary, Adrian Amos, is questionable with a hamstring injury. Friday is the only day this week he was able to practice at all. Hopefully that means he will be able to go on Sunday.

The Packers will have their hands full with MVP candidate Christian McCaffery. If it weren’t for Russell Wilson, we would be talking about him as the front-runner. We know how the Packers have struggled against the run all year. I do not need to explain what the difference between 8-2 and 7-3 would be heading into the bye, especially with San Francisco waiting in the wings. If the Packers want to stay in the running for a potential first round bye in the playoffs, they absolutely need to win this game on Sunday.
