For the past eight years, the holidays aren’t the only thing keeping Wisconsinites in a good mood.

The Green Bay Packers clinched a playoff spot for the eighth straight season on Sunday with a Washington Redskins loss.

The Detroit Lions also clinched a playoff spot with the Redskins’ defeat, but there was plenty left on the line; a division title, and a home playoff game for next week’s wildcard round.

Aaron Rodgers did what he does best; being Aaron Rodgers. His 300 yard, four touchdown onslaught of the Lions’ defense led to a 31-24 Packers victory. Green Bay has now claimed the NFC North for the fifth time in the past six years. The Packers sixth straight win really had fans revved up for the postseason.

The Packers (10-6) get the #4 seed and will host the New York Giants next Sunday, January 8th, at 3:40 pm central time on FOX.
