Every Monday we will look at which Milwaukee Buck stood out from a game changing performance, or provided consistent production over the previous week. We will do the same for one other player within the central division (Bulls, Pacers, Pistons, Cavaliers).
In the final full week of the regular season amidst a three-game losing streak, we witnessed the Bucks clinch a playoff spot with a much needed win over the Philadelphia 76ers.
King of the Court- Giannis Antetokounmpo
The Greek Freak takes home yet another King of the Court award. Giannis continues his quest to be the first player in NBA history to stand in the top 20 of all five major categories (points, assists, rebounds, steals, blocks). Giannis averaged 18.7 points, nine rebounds, 5.3 assists, two blocks, and one steal over 33 minutes per game. The Eastern conference player of the month in March continues to thrive and deserves MVP and MIP considerations for his historic season.
King of the Court- Paul George, Indiana Pacers
PG-13 picks up his second divisional King of the Court award with solid performances over three Indiana victories, pushing closer to a playoff berth. George averaged 31.7 points, nine rebounds, and 2.3 steals across 38.3 minutes per game in wins over the Raptors, Bucks, and Magic. The Pacers currently sit in the 7th spot out East, and control their own destiny for clinching a playoff spot. The Pacers had high expectations headed into the season and have under-performed, but could pull off a first round upset if Paul George gets hot.
